So tell me people, how many out there are reading this and want it still going?
To be blatantly honest, waiting tables has been the last thing on my mind when I come home from a double shift day, shower, go out and rehearse for 3 hrs. I have very litle desire to rehash the events of the day.
Thus I'm considering throwing in the towel on Buon Appetito!
Is there a steady stream of readers who want me to carry on, or will everyone end up being happy that there are (and always will be) 900 other waiter blogs out there?

sucks that your feeling down about the blog, and your lack of posts has been noticed... but who gives a shit about the 900 other waiter blogs out there? i read some of those too. yours is on my daily check list and i think ive got a link to you as well. i know how you feel when you get home from work and dont want anything to do with that part of your day...
dont want to write about work? fucking dont then... write about something else, its your style of writing that entertains, your jokes, etc... keep it going and continue to give yourself another outlet...
when i started mine it was to keep myself from getting too depressed. i wrote about hatred, anger, and self-loathing... it has become something else and now has a small following, people from around the world! i never would have had such a positive response to the mundane things in my life had i not taken the chance at online publication... good luck what ever you decide... but ive seen alot of really good fucking blogs disappear.
spelling is one of the things im not too fond of paying any attention to, youll have to bear with me on that.
Your's is one of the blogs I check almost every day.
I second what the first commenter said: Keep it up if you can.
I always read your blog, I find it vey well written and highly entertaining (and was disappointed your other blog didn't really get off the ground).
Please keep it up if you can, though I certainly remember the days of dobule shifts and no time and how it felt.

I linked over a while back from one of those 900 other waiter-type blogs and have been lurking, checking in a couple of times a day, ever since. My hope is that you'll find yourself able to continue this blog in some form, even if you don't post as often, because I enjoy your narrative voice.
Take care of yourself first, though. Otherwise, you don't do anyone any good. ;)

I personally very much enjoy reading your blog, and check it regularly for updates. That said, fuck what your readers want.
If writing about work is the last thing you want to do when you get home then don't, write about what you want to. Or, don't write; paint, sing, do a little dance (make a little love?) The point is that we get too caught up in the little things.

I really do enjoy the blog, but if you don't have the time, it's up to you. Will I find another blog to occupy my time? sure, but I'll do that as well anyway. I'm always looking for new blogs. The fact that I keep checking even though not much new has been going up kind of shows me that I will continue to read.
but all in all, it really depends on YOU. if it's not rewarding or fun or interesting for you...then why bother? best of luck to you.

well, this is the 20th comment, so you know you have at least 20 loyal readers. i agree with a few of the other commenters, if you dont feel like writing about business and crappy customers, we would still come back and read whatever you post here, be it creative nonfiction, autobiography, or just a journal. we come back for your writing style, not the subject matter. i sincerely hope you stick around!
I enjoy your blog and would love to continue reading about your trials and tribulations. I can see how it might become exhausting narrating your life while also living it. I wish you the best in what you choose.

I mean, if life's getting in the way of updating, live your life, but don't feel put down by the lack of views or anything--I'm positive you have a fanbase that would be sad if you left the blog.

If you continue to write, I will continue to read. I've started using an RSS feed, but before that I would check your blog almost daily to see if there was something new.
Having said that, I've been a blog reader long enough to know what goes into running a blog, and not all of them last forever. When blogging starts to feel like a chore instead of a hobby, it's time to re-assess what you want out of blogging.

There may be 900 waiter blogs out there, but there are only three that I look for regularly, and yours is one of them. The others are not worth reading...
That said, I understand the need for space and time, which is why I don't have a "Systems Administrator" blog.
But I check yours nightly, and always enjoy a new post.
If you need to throw in the towel in order to maintain your sanity, I understand, but if you're looking for a reason to keep writing, consider this a vote for "Yes, please keep writing!"

It's not about us. That's not why you started this. You have to do what's right for you. Consider stepping back, taking a breath, and reinventing when your ready. At first it will be hard on us, your readers, but we may be rewarded in the long run by your next level.

The other 900 aside, this was the first waiter blog I started reading, and it's still the first one I check every day. I hope you find the inspiration to keep it up.
Like many others here, I check your blog daily, and -- out of pure selfishness -- hope you continue. As others have already mentioned, however, this is for you, not us, and you have to do what's best considering current circumstances.
That said, what has happened to 'From Process to Performance'? I haven't seen any new posts there since the first one, and maybe dropping this one and shifting your attention there might be more in tune with with your needs.
Whatever you decide, good luck! You are a very enjoyable writer, so I hope that you continue somewhere, on some topic.

I think your writing is the best of the restaurant themed blogs I've seen, but if a blogger doesn't post regularly, like at least once a week if not more often, it seems pointless to me. If you're not into it, then pull the plug.
Personally, I enjoy your blog. I check the site every day. That said, if you only post twice a month, give it up. It is frustrating to check a site every day and never see anything new. We are investing ourselves also.

I know that there are about 900 other waiter blogs out there, but what I love about yours is that you've never come off as particularly cynical or bitter. You retell the events of the day in a somewhat levelheaded way, and your grammar is generally pretty good too. I'd say there are significantly less waiter blogs out there that do more than just rant about how the little guy always gets the short end of the stick and blah blah.
That being said, whatever you decide to do is your choice and if you stop posting, good luck!

I say...when your tired of discussing waiter topics you could expound upon other topics - traffic, idiots at the store, etc. I love your writer's voice and would read anything you wrote about (unless you got a foot warts kick, then maybe I'd skip it).
